Ghanaian Players Abroad: Midfielder Lawrence Agyekum nets for Cercle Brugge in convincing win over Patro Eisden

Midfielder Lawrence Agyekum was on the scoresheet as Cercle Brugge beat Patro Eisden 5-1 in the first leg of the Belgium Jupiler Pro League relegation playoff.
Agyekum gave Brugge an early lead in the 8th minute after connecting with a pass from Felipe Augusto.
Paris Brunner scored twice in the 25th and 46th minutes, respectively. Felipe Augusto scored the fourth goal in the 58th minute, before Thibo Somers sealed the emphatic victory for the visitors at the Patro Stadium.
Patro Eisden capitalized on a consolation from Vancy Romeo Mabanza, but it wasn’t enough to secure them a point on Sunday afternoon.
The former WAFA midfielder has now scored three goals and two assists in 34 appearances this season.
His Ghanaian counterpart, Francis Abu also featured, playing 74 minutes in the same game for Cercle Brugge.
