CPP Endorses President Mahama’s Reset Agenda, Calls for National Support

As Ghana celebrates its 68th Independence Anniversary, the Convention People’s Party (CPP) has commended President John Dramani Mahama for heeding their call to scale down the celebrations. In a statement, the CPP Chairperson and Leader, Comrade Wing Commander Patrick Nelson Sogbodjor, praised the decision to save GHS13,500,000, which is 90% of the previous cost.

The CPP noted that this initiative is part of the reset agenda, which aims to reflect, review, and reset the country’s economy. The party called on all Ghanaians to support the President in this endeavor, emphasizing that building the economy will benefit all, regardless of party affiliation, creed, or ideology.

The CPP also highlighted the success of their economic policies during the 1st Republic, which have been unmatched to date. They expressed pride in having set the bar high for positive achievements and encouraged the current government to follow through on the aspirations of the National Economic Dialogue.

In addition, the CPP praised President Mahama’s leadership, citing his commitment to transparency and accountability. They noted that his administration will prioritize job creation, social justice, and equality, with a focus on revitalizing the economy through industrialization, agriculture, and efficient use of natural resources.

The CPP’s statement concluded with a call to action, urging all Ghanaians to support the reset agenda and work together to build a better future for the country.
