I’m taking steps to legally reverse Baba Sadiq’s declaration—NPP’s Patrick Boamah

Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Patrick Yaw Boamah has insisted that he won the 2024 election against the National Democratic Congress’ Baba Sadiq.

He says he is taking the right steps to legally reverse the fraudulent declaration of Baba Sadiq as Member of Parliament for Ayawaso Central.

In a post shared via social media, he said “I am a believer in due process and I am taking the right steps to legally reverse this fraudulent declaration. I therefore urge all New Patriotic Party members, friends, well wishers to remain calm. Thank you”.

Baba Sadiq Abdulai was declared victorious for gaining 15,323 votes as against that of the incumbent MP, Patrick Boamah’s 14,949 votes.

The election saw a total of 30,332 valid votes cast, with 130 ballots rejected.

The election in Okaikwei Central was one which was keenly contested with lots of tension.
