Salifu Amoako’s son under heavy police guard at hospital, pending arrest
Elrad Salifu Amoako, the son of renowned preacher Prophet Salifu Amoako, is currently under heavy police guard at a hospital where he is receiving treatment following his involvement in a fatal accident at East Legon.
According to highly placed police sources, this security measure is to facilitate his arrest once his condition improves, as his actions led to the tragic death of two young girls on October 12, 2024, in Accra.
The police source emphasized that they are aware of the intense public interest in the case and have assured that all efforts will be made to ensure justice is served.
In a related development, the Ghana Police Service has officially charged Prophet Salifu Amoako, his wife Mouha Amoako, and a third individual for allowing the 16-year-old Elrad, who is unlicensed, to drive.
The parents are expected to reappear before the court on October 30, 2024.
The accident has sparked widespread public outrage, with many calling for swift legal action to be taken against those responsible.
