Mavis Kukua Bissue Launches Campaign in Apowa, Promises Transformation for Ahanta West
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Ahanta West, Mavis Kukua Bissue, officially launched her campaign in Apowa with a passionate call for change and development in the constituency. The event, held in the Western Region, drew a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters, signaling strong grassroots momentum as the country prepares for the 2024 general elections.
In her address, Kukua Bissue pledged to prioritize economic empowerment, youth development, and infrastructure improvements for Ahanta West. She stressed the importance of leadership that listens to the concerns of the people and addresses their pressing needs. “Ahanta West deserves better, and together, we can bring the change we’ve all been waiting for. I am here to serve you, to bring development to our communities, and to ensure that the voices of the people are heard in Parliament,” she declared.
The campaign launch was bolstered by the presence of North Tongu MP, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who called on voters to rally behind Bissue, emphasized her commitment to transparency and progress. Ablakwa also used the platform to criticize the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for maintaining burdensome taxes, such as the COVID-19 levy and betting tax, which he described as unjust and a strain on citizens.
“Ahanta West needs a strong voice in Parliament, someone who will fight for the interests of the people, and Mavis Kukua Bissue is that person. The NDC stands for development and accountability, and with Mavis in office, this constituency will see a new dawn,” Ablakwa urged.
Kukua Bissue’s campaign launch was marked by a spirited display of support from the youth and community leaders, who echoed her vision of a more prosperous and developed Ahanta West. She encouraged voters, especially the younger generation, to believe in the power of their vote and to trust in her ability to deliver on her promises.
As the campaign for 2024 heats up, Bissue’s message of hope and transformation resonates with many in Ahanta West, positioning her as a formidable contender in the parliamentary race.
