Raphael Onyedika emerges on Crystal Palace radar
With the European season almost coming to an end in a month’s time, clubs are making final preparations to determine which players to recruit going into the 24/25 season. Reports have indicated Raphael Onyedika is been pursued by Premier League side Crystal Palace.
The Club Brugge midfielder is said to have impressed based on his performance in the ongoing season. After playing 42 games in all competitions, the Nigerian has netted 4 times. With his physique, strength, pace and power, his style of play is highly favoured in the Premier League.
The Eagles will want to add him to Will Hughes, Jefferson Lerma, Cheick Doucoure, Jeffrey Schlupp and Nouhairou Ahamada in a bid to improve their midfield play. The 23-year-old Nigerian midfielder has reportedly impressed Dougie Freedman, Crystal Palace monitor Director who personally went to Belgium to monitor his exploits.
The source have revealed Raphael may cost the Premier League side €15m which could possibly rise to €23m depending on the negotiations that will be carried out between the two clubs.
Raphael Onyedika’s first team in Europe was Midtjylland in Denmark before making a permanent move to Club Brugge in 2022 as he signed a 5 deal with the Jupiler side.
The Super Eagles midfielder has made 5 appearances with the national team as he was named among the final squad of Nigeria that played in the recent AFCON in Ivory Coast where they lost against the host nation in the finals.
