We haven’t embezzled them, the packages for the farmers’ day celebration which was canceled are still safe – DCE speaks out
Some of the residents of Jaman North in the Brong Ahafo region apparently accused the district assembly of embezzling the prizes that were meant for the farmers on the 2023 Farmers Day.
Due to security reasons, the farmers’ day celebration event was canceled in Jaman North.
Meanwhile, pieces of equipment were bought to award the farmers in the District but the event could not take place due to security reasons advised by the regional security council due to a chieftaincy dispute then.
Though the event could not come on, the farmers had been anticipating to have received their awards.
Some of the residents in the district had accused the district assembly selling the equipments but the DCE of Jaman South, Solomon Owusu speaking on Kessben FM’s Breaking News debunked that.
According to him, the equipments bought to award the farmer are safe at the district assembly.
