BREAKING: GFA EXCO passes a vote to sack Chris Hughton – Kessben FM Reports
According to a report filed by Kessben FM, the executive committee members of the Ghana Football Association have voted for Coach Chris Hughton to be sacked following the Black Stars brink of exit from the ongoing AFCON in Cote Di Voire.
The Black Stars were held to a 2-2 draw against Mozambique in their final group of the AFCON 2023.
Mozambique had to come back in the final round of play as the Black Stars gave away their two-goal lead.
A win for Ghana would have qualified Ghana for the round of 16 but failed to secure the needed win. It will take Ghana a miracle to qualify for the next round through the best-placed team option.
After the exit, 95% of EXCO members of the Ghana Football Association in a WhatsApp group meeting voted for Chris Hughton to be sacked.
