We are facing challenges – Director of electoral affairs
The director of electoral affairs at the Electoral Commission, Doctor Serebour Quaicoe says the commission is encountering challenges in the voter registration exercise.
According to him, there was a fluctuation of the network connectivity and the weather was unfavorable which made many voters not to be able to register.
He mentioned that the commission encountered similar challenges in 2020 and resolved it after a while
“We had similar challenges in 2020 and we were able to address all issues. We hope to resolve any challenges after three days” He said.
In an interview with Kessben 93.3 FM, he stated that they prefer to use online to physical registration.
“Online registers prevent double registration due to the verification involved,” he said.
He, however, cautioned citizens to avoid double registration.
