Dampare is useless to the course of the police system – Listowel Nana Poku
The executive director for Good Governance and Advocacy group of Ghana, Listowel Nana Poku claimed the inspector general of police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare is useless to the course of the police system.
According to him, the IGP grants promotions to recruited employees in the police service and ignores the well-loved experienced police officers being promoted.
Speaking on Kessben 92.9 FM Maakye in Accra, he emphasized that, an officer upon being in the police service for about 15 years and with his experience acquired is deprived of promotion is not fair.
Listowel further emphasized that the mandate given by the constitution to the authorities of the police is not used fairly in their rulings for experienced officers in the service.
According to Listowel, the constitution of Ghana has given the mandate to the police authorities but that should not encourage them to use it”capriciously and arbitrarily” He stressed.
