Father Ankrah surpasses Wode Maya as the most subscribed YouTuber in Ghana
Father Ankrah, a comedy performer from Ghana who is also regarded as the African Charlie Chaplin, now has more subscribers on YouTube than Wode Maya, who held the previous record.
Wode Maya was the first person from Ghana to reach the milestone of one million subscribers on the well-known online video platform in 2021.
Wode Maya previously held the title of top YouTuber from Ghana.
Father Ankrah has, however, made a stunning rise to fame. He accomplished the feat of being the Ghanaian YouTube channel with the fastest million-view milestone.
From November 2022 to May 2023, a short seven months, he completed this achievement.
His rapid ascent propelled him to over 1.4 million subscribers on YouTube, accompanied by an impressive one billion views, as of August 2023, solidifying his position as Ghana’s YouTube leader in terms of subscribers.
Father Ankrah, who was born Eric Duodu Ankrah on February 21, 1993, is a multi-talented Ghanaian online celebrity renowned for his skill as a professional dancer, unicyclist, comedian, and content developer.
