CPP Youth League Happy With Party’s Decision To Elect Flagbearer By June 13th 2023

The National Youth Organizer of the Convention Peoples Party has express joy and hope in the Party’s decision to elect a flagbearer by June 13th this Year.

According to Comrade Osei Kofi Acquah, this decision by the Party’s Central Committee is the magic wand which has been missing since the CPP decided to operate as a Political Party under the 4th Republic.

Comrade Osei Kofi Acquah believes the Central Committee decision will increase the Party’s fortune because the flagbearer will have ample time to comb the length and breath of the country and appeal to Ghanaians with their message of hope and the need for a change in Government.

The National Youth Organizer also believes that the Party and the flagbearer will get enough time to supervise the election of credible parliamentary candidates to represent the Party in the various constituencies.

Various spokespersons Who are going to form shadow cabinet to come up with alternative policies in all the sectors of the Economy mismanaged by the Akuffo Addo led Government, Comrade Osei Kofi Acquah added.

To the outspoken National Youth Organizer, what has always account for the electoral misfortunes of the CPP is the late presentation of the Party’s flagbeaerer as an alternative leader to the flagbeaerers presented by the NDC and the NPP.

The flagbeaerer’s election is expected to be followed by polling stations reorganization and elections, electoral area reorganization and elections, Constituencies reorganization and elections all the way to the National level with the flagbeaerer being part of every activity.

The National Youth Organizer believes that the Party is Killing multiple birds with one stone by electing a flagbeaerer in June as the Party’s constitution article 79 (B) instructs the party to elect a flagbeaerer 24 months before the General elections.

Again each reorganization and elections from the polling station is going to be an avenue for campaign Comrade Osei Kofi Acquah pointed out.

Comrade Kofi Acquah says that this decision by the CPP’s Central Committee shows that the Party is really hungry for power and is serious this time.
