Asokwa MP calls for united effort to control spread of cholera
The Member of Parliament for Asokwa and a member of the parliamentary select committee on environment, Patricia Adjei has called on members of the public to take the cleanliness of their surroundings seriously and help control cholera in the country.
In an interview with Kessben TV, she said improving sanity conditions should be a daily activity. She added that it would work only if it was a collective activity.
Mrs Adjei added that government is doing its part to help control the outbreak, but would also need people to come together to assist in sanitation efforts.
“See the government is working very hard with the Health Ministry, but I can tell you if we don’t help cholera will eat us up,” she said.
She later called on opinion leaders and traditional leaders to organise communal labour to help put the situation under control.
