A 17-year-old Senior High School (SHS) student from Wenchi in the Bono Region has died KessbenOnline.com has gathered.
Aisha Seidu, a second-year student at Islamic SHS in Kumasi, was reportedly murdered by unknown assailants a day after returning home to Wenchi Zongo for holiday.
Sources told the media that her body was discovered in a pool of blood in the early hours of Tuesday, February 21, 2023, implying that she was clubbed by her assailant, who could also be a rapist.
The Ghana Police Service’s Wenchi Municipal Command has since initiated an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death, as the family suspects rape and murder.
According to the residents, the student was murdered by a suspected rapist. They believe it was a planned crime and are urging authorities to bring those guilty to justice.
