Dr Smart Sarpong backs Akufo Addo’s nation’s address about the economy on Sunday
Senior Research Fellow at the centre for Social Science, Dr Smart Sarpong, has backed the President’s decision of holding an address to the nation on the economy coming Sunday.
The economic crisis arising from the depreciating cedi has led to the increase in prices of goods and services in the country and he believes that the President addressing the nation during this time is important.
Dr. Smart Sarpong reacting to the release by the government said it’s a bold decision as it can help Ghanaians to fully engage themselves just like during the covid period.
Speaking to Kessben Breaking news Dr Smart Sarpong underscored that the address is important as it can help citizens to be aware of the country’s economic plans.
He further added that this would be an opportunity to clarify misunderstandings in the prices of goods and services in the country as people have taken advantage of the situation to charge exorbitant prices.
