A/R: Police Rescue Hon Kyei Mensah Bonsu from attack at Suame Magazine (Video)
It took the intervention of the police to rescue the member of parliament for Suame constituency in the Ashanti region over the lack of development in the area, especially Suame magazine and its environment.
It will be recalled that last week the artisans at Suame magazine staged a demonstration over the poor road network linking from Kejetia to Offinso.
Hon Kyei Mensah Bonsu who also doubles as majority leader in parliament decided to arrange a meeting with the leadership of the artisans to brief them and also have first-hand information about the situation on the ground.
It turned out to be an attack on him by some of the artisans of Suame magazine who registered their displeasure about the ongoing reshaping of the road.
The artisans started throwing sachets of water at him amid tight police protection.
Kessben News upon visiting the scene gathered that some of the residents were also chanting war songs against the member of parliament for having done nothing good for them over the past twenty-four (24) years in parliament.
