Black Stars team Doctor, Dr. Baba sacked for misleading technical team to invite injured Wakasu during AFCON21 (Video)
Kessben Sports has gathered that Dr. Baba has been shown the exit ahead of the Black Stars’ 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers.
The Ghana Football Association’s communication director, Henry Asante Twum in a subsequent interview confirmed that Dr. Baba was sacked following an evaluation of his performance as team doctor for the Black Stars by the executive committee.
After reviewing his performance at the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon, the authorities felt he must be replaced.
One of the key pointers that informed the decision to replace Dr. Baba was the green light he gave to the technical team of Black Stars to invite injured Mubarak Wakasu to the AFCON 2021, Kessben Sports established.
Following his dismissal, the football Association has named Dr. Prince Pambo as the new team doctor for the Black Stars.
