I’m a Muslim, Gambling is haram – Alhaji Grusah supports GFA’s verdict to demote Ashgold
The Bankroller of Kumasi based King Faisal, Alhaji Karim Grusah has stated that he’s in support of the Ghana Football Association’s verdict on Ashantigold’s demotion over betting.
The Obuasi based football club has been demoted to the Division 2 league after they were found guilty of match manipulation in the 2020-21 Matchday 34 with Inter Allies.
Alhaji Grusah speaking with Kessben TV following the demotion of their regional rivals said it is pretty unfortunate to see their rivals leave the premier league but stressed his full support for the GFA to fight the canker of match-fixing in the Ghana premier league.
“It is a good decision by the Ghana Football Association. We should not condone betting in our football.
Yes when you go to Europe there is betting, that’s try your luck but not fixed games.
They are my friends in football but for Gambling, they are not my friends. Alhaji told Kessben TV.
