The Kessben Maakye morning show team on Tuesday scattered reporters around the three major cities in Ghana, Kumasi, Takoradi and Accra following the increment of prices in general goods and services.
Our reporters spoke particularly with Market women who sell food ingredients in the market.
Many of them bemoaned over the hikes in prices of the ingredients affecting their sales.
According to them, sales have been awfully slow since the prices of the ingredients shot up.
A sack of maize which was used to be bought at a wholesale price of GHC500 is now bought around GHC620 leaving them with no option but also increase their prices.
A market woman in Kumasi Racecourse market who sells smoked fish (Adwene) stressed that currently with less than GH200, one cannot make any good Adwene soup.
