Observe The Covid 19 Protocols And Other Guidelines At Congress – Rita Asobayire
The First vice Chairperson of the New Patriotic Party ,Madam Rita Talata Asobayire who is also the Planning Committee Chairperson of the forthcoming NPP special delegates conference slated for 17,18, and 19 of December in Kumasi has admonished party members who are billed to partake in the said conference to be law abiding before,during and after the event.
Speaking to this paper in her office to share her thoughts on the impending congress, she stressed on the need for delegates and all party members to comport themselves to paint NPP in the best light to the whole country. Madam Asobayire intimated that all arrangements have been made in terms of transportation, accommodation, security, accreditation, and all other protocols.
“This is not the first time we are doing this. We have done this since 1992 and our party comes tops when we do these congresses and l can assure you we are going to come out clean and neat”. She intimated that the president and the Vice president will be there and therefore she expects all party members and delegates to comply with the Covid 19 vaccination protocols by bringing their cards to avoid any comotion at the Congress ground.
“If you know you don’t have it please go and vaccinate before the D-Day , else you will be shown the exit. The omicron virus is real and ravaging the world and we need to be on our guards “. She added that nobody should display the paraphernalia of any of the aspiring candidates in Kumasi, any one caught would be dealt with .
“We urge party members to display ONLY the elephant symbols and colours and none other. If anyone flouts this simple rule that identified individual will smell pepper and ginger “, she warned. The Vice Chairperson used the occasion to wish all delegates successful congress and safe journey to and from Kumasi.
She advised those driving to the spot of the event to observe driving regulations to save their life and other’s by driving safely. He wished them happy Yuletide and blissful new year.
