I won 8 trophies in 2 years for Kotoko, my ‘chopbar’ comment were taken out of context – Bashiru Hayford finally explains

Former Asante Kotoko head coach Bashiru Hayford has clarified his controversial ‘chopbar’ comment, insisting that his remarks were taken out of context by some journalists.
Speaking on Kessben Sports with Sir Joe Laka, Hayford explained that his statement was directed at some Kotoko supporters he encountered at Confidence Chopbar before a match.
According to him, the comment he made after the game referred to those particular supporters and was not intended to describe Asante Kotoko fans generally as ‘chopbar supporters’.
He expressed concern that some journalists misinterpreted his remarks, creating the impression that he was referring to Kotoko supporters as a whole.
Hayford, who also reflected on his achievements during his time as Kotoko head coach, has now offered his explanation to clarify the controversy surrounding the statement.
