Dombos Family congratulates new NPP national leadership, urges collective support for Bawumia’s 2028 victory aspirations

The Dombos For NPP has congratulated the newly elected national executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) following their successful election on Saturday, October 3, 2026, and called for collective support and unity as the party prepares for the 2028 general elections.
In a congratulatory message dated October 5, 2026, and signed by Tracy Rabiatu Dombo and Anamaal Amadu on behalf of the Dombos For NPP, the family said the election of the new national executives reflected “the confidence and trust placed in you by the membership,” while commending all those who offered themselves to serve and recognising the commitment demonstrated by every contestant during the electoral process.
The Dombos For NPP further urged the new leadership, unsuccessful contestants and their supporters to put the contest behind them, work together and contribute to the broader effort towards securing Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s leadership aspirations in 2028. The group said “there should be no winners and losers after the election,” stressing that members remained part of one organisation with “a common purpose and shared aspirations.”
The NPP elected former General Secretary John Boadu as National Chairman at its National Delegates Conference in Kumasi, while Justin Kodua Frimpong retained his position as General Secretary. Kojo Fosu Boadu, Henry Nana Boakye and Nana Akomea were elected National Vice Chairpersons, with Alfred Kojo Thompson becoming National Treasurer and Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover elected National Organiser.
Other executives elected include Abagna Yakubu Fusani as National Youth Organiser, Mavis Hawa Koomson as National Women’s Organiser, Mohammed Ali Suraj as National Nasara Organiser, while Dennis Edward Miracles Aboagye was elected Communication Director. The new executives are expected to lead the party for the next four years and oversee its organisational activities ahead of the 2028 elections.
The statement further called on the newly elected executives to reach out to all contestants and their supporters as part of efforts to promote reconciliation and strengthen unity within the party.
It also encouraged those who contested but were not successful to make their experience, goodwill and support available to the new leadership.
“Together, we can strengthen the organisation and build a united front ahead of the 2028 general elections,” the statement said.
According to the family, unity, discipline, mutual respect and collective effort would be essential as the NPP works towards its broader political objectives and contributes to efforts aimed at advancing Dr. Bawumia’s leadership aspirations in the 2028 elections.
The Dombos For NPP also urged party members to put personal interests aside, reconcile where necessary and work in the interest of the wider movement.
“The task ahead requires all hands on deck, and every individual has a valuable role to play,” the statement said.
The family said the conclusion of the national executive elections should mark the beginning of a period of cooperation in which both the newly elected executives and those who contested would contribute to strengthening the organisation.
It further wished the new national executives “wisdom, strength and success” as they assume their responsibilities and expressed the hope for “a united and productive organisation.”
