Many of our executives got overfed & slept on their jobs, that’s why we lost the 2024 elections- Vera Oye Bram Larbi, NPP National Youth organizer hopeful

New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Youth Organizer hopeful Vera Oye Bram Larbi has blamed the party’s defeat in the 2024 general elections partly on what she described as complacency among some party executives.

Speaking on Kessben FM with Kwabena Owusu Dankwah, she said some executives became too comfortable in their positions and failed to perform their responsibilities effectively.

“Many of the executives got overfed and slept on their jobs, that’s why we lost the 2024 elections,” Vera Oye Bram Larbi said.

She argued that the NPP must learn from its 2024 defeat by choosing competent and committed leaders who are prepared to work at the grassroots and deliver results.

According to her, the party’s focus should be on appointing or electing leaders who can mobilise supporters, strengthen the party’s structures and work toward restoring public confidence ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Vera Oye Bram Larbi, who is seeking to lead the NPP’s youth wing, said the youth must also be given meaningful opportunities to contribute to the party’s rebuilding efforts.

She called on NPP delegates to make careful choices when selecting leaders, stressing that the party needs a committed leadership team capable of securing victory in the 2028 elections.
