The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) has announced the appointment of its distinguished alumnus, Dr. Eric Tetteh Ayertey, as a Part-Time Lecturer at the School of Sports and Exercise Medicine.
Dr. Tetteh Ayertey, who served as the first SRC President of UHAS, returns to his alma mater with years of valuable experience in clinical practice, research, and international sports medicine.
In congratulating him, UHAS described the appointment as a homecoming for a proud alumnus who is expected to inspire and mentor the next generation of sports and exercise medicine professionals.
“We are proud to welcome Dr. EA Tetteh back to UHAS. He returns with the experience and passion needed to advance excellence in teaching, research, athlete care, and sports medicine,” the University stated.
The School of Sports and Exercise Medicine noted that Dr. Tetteh Ayertey’s background will be instrumental in strengthening the training of students and supporting Ghana’s growing focus on athlete health, injury prevention, and sports performance.
UHAS has wished Dr. Tetteh Ayertey continued success as he takes on the new role and contributes to building capacity in sports medicine in Ghana and beyond.
The appointment adds to a growing list of UHAS alumni returning to serve and give back to the university community.
