The Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, on Friday joined staff of the Ministry in a clean-up exercise as part of the Government’s two-day nationwide sanitation campaign aimed at promoting environmental cleanliness and healthy living.

The national clean-up exercise, declared by Government, is being observed from Friday, July 10 to Saturday, July 11, 2026, with public institutions, private organizations and communities participating in efforts to improve sanitation across the country.

At the Ministry’s premises in Accra, the Minister actively participated in sweeping, clearing refuse and cleaning the office environment alongside management and staff, demonstrating her commitment to fostering a clean and healthy workplace.

Hon. Ofosu-Adjare commended the staff for their enthusiasm and encouraged them to make cleanliness a continuous practice rather than a one-off exercise. She noted that maintaining a clean working environment contributes to improved productivity, staff well-being and the efficient delivery of public services.

She also urged Ghanaians to support the Government’s sanitation agenda by keeping their homes, workplaces and communities clean, stressing that environmental cleanliness is a shared responsibility.
Following the exercise, the Minister interacted with members of staff in a relaxed atmosphere and treated them to a feast in appreciation of their commitment and participation in the exercise. She joined the staff for the meal, using the opportunity to strengthen the bond between management and employees.

The event reflected the Ministry’s commitment to promoting environmental responsibility while fostering teamwork and unity among staff in support of the national sanitation campaign.
