Wofa Kofi Appiah slams Randy Abbey for following Black Stars instead of focusing on COCOBOD
Host of Kessben Maakye in Kumasi, Wofa Kofi Appiah has criticized the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), Randy Abbey, over his reported involvement in following the Black Stars at the ongoing FIFA World Cup, suggesting that his attention should have remained on addressing challenges within the cocoa sector.
According to Wofa Kofi Appiah, if Mr. Abbey had a football-related interest, such as monitoring a player for a potential transfer or sale, he should have delegated that responsibility to another person while concentrating on his duties at COCOBOD.
He argued that the cocoa sector is facing significant challenges that require the full attention of its leadership and questioned whether it was appropriate for the COCOBOD boss to devote time to football activities during such a critical period.
