Henry Kokofu declares 2028 victory for Bawumia as goal of Ashanti regional chairmanship bid
Former Bantama Member of Parliament and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ashanti Regional Chairman hopeful, Dr Henry Kokofu, says his decision to contest the party’s Ashanti Regional Chairmanship is driven by his desire to help the NPP regain political power in the 2028 general elections.
Speaking on Kessben FM, Dr Kokofu stated that his objective is to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures to support the NPP’s 2028 presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, in his bid to become President of Ghana. He also said his leadership would focus on helping the party reclaim parliamentary seats it lost in previous elections.
Dr Kokofu expressed confidence that a united and well-organised party in the Ashanti Region would play a crucial role in improving the NPP’s electoral fortunes in the 2028 polls.
