Kwasi Mensah urges wealthy Ghanaians to invest more in productive ventures

Kwasi Mensah has called on wealthy Ghanaians to invest more in productive ventures, arguing that many are failing to contribute meaningfully to the country’s economic development.
Speaking on Kessben FM, Mensah contrasted the activities of foreign investors with those of some affluent Ghanaians, claiming that foreigners are taking the lead in major commercial developments across the country.
“While the Chinese and the Lebanese are building malls in Ghana, our rich businessmen in Ghana are marrying young girls and attending fancy funerals,” he said.
According to him, many foreign investors are committing resources to infrastructure and business projects that create jobs and stimulate economic growth, while some local business elites focus on lavish lifestyles and social events.
Kwasi Mensah urged Ghanaian entrepreneurs and business leaders to prioritize investments that generate employment opportunities and support national development. He stressed that local wealth should be leveraged to build industries, expand businesses, and create lasting economic value.
