GN Bank may take 6 months and 3 years to resume full operations – Prince Obiri Yeboah

Prince Obiri Yeboah has stated that it could take between a few months and up to three years for GN Bank to complete the required procedures before resuming full banking operations, following the court’s decision to restore its license.
Speaking on Kessben FM, the economist explained that although the court ruling is a significant step for the institution, it does not immediately translate into a full return to normal banking activities.
He noted that the bank must still undergo several regulatory and operational processes, including compliance checks, capital requirements, and other directives from financial authorities, before it can fully re-enter the banking sector.
Prince Obiri Yeboah added that the timeline for GN Bank’s return will depend on how quickly these conditions are met, stressing that the process could be completed within months in an optimistic scenario, or extend to as long as three years.
