CCTV cameras installed inside and outside the prison, No pilfering of donated goods – Officials
Officials of the Kumasi Central Prisons have assured the public that donations made to inmates are properly monitored and protected from theft or mismanagement.
Speaking on Kessben Drive hosted by Fante Quoo, prison authorities disclosed that CCTV cameras have been installed both inside and outside the prison facility to ensure transparency and accountability in the handling of donations and other activities within the prison.
According to the officials, the surveillance systems help monitor the movement of officers, inmates, and items entering or leaving the facility, making it difficult for any donations meant for prisoners to be pilfered.
They further encouraged the public to continue supporting inmates through approved channels, stressing that measures have been put in place to ensure that all items and contributions reach their intended beneficiaries.
