Host of the widely followed Christian radio program “Awurade Akasa” on Kessben 92.9FM, Rev. Richard Afful has been crowned National Radio Preacher of the Year at the prestigious Foklex Media Awards.
The award scheme, organized annually by Foklex Media, celebrates excellence and impact across Ghana’s media industry, including outstanding contributions to Christian broadcasting.
In an exclusive interview with Maurice Otoo of Kessben Digital Media after receiving the honor, Rev. Afful described the recognition as both fulfilling and demanding.
According to him, the award brings excitement to his ministry while also placing a greater responsibility on him to continue transforming lives through the preaching of God’s word on the radio.
“This honor brings to my ministry both excitement and a challenge to continually reach lives through radio ministration of the word of God,” he stated.
Rev. Afful also used the opportunity to encourage fellow radio ministers and gospel broadcasters across the country to remain steadfast in their calling.
He urged them to dedicate themselves to studying the scriptures and seeking the face of God, stressing that commitment to ministry would elevate their spiritual impact and influence.
The latest recognition marks a major milestone for Kessben FM’s religious programming, with “Awurade Akasa” continuing to gain prominence among Christian listeners nationwide.
