NPP took Kenkey to 7 cedis, we’ve not increased that, it’s been maintained – Frank Otuo Acheampong defends NDC

Frank Otuo Acheampong has defended the government’s handling of food prices, stating that the cost of a bowl of kenkey has remained stable despite economic challenges.
Speaking on Kessben FM, Mr. Acheampong said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration increased the price of kenkey to 7 cedis during its tenure, adding that the current government has maintained the same price level without further increases.
According to him, the stability in the price of the popular local meal reflects efforts by the government to manage inflation and reduce additional hardship on ordinary Ghanaians. He argued that despite concerns over rising living costs, some staple food prices have remained relatively steady.
Mr. Acheampong also criticized opposition claims about worsening economic conditions, insisting that the government continues to implement measures aimed at protecting consumers from sharp price hikes.
