Abiriw NPP Delegates Back Agya Addo for Polling Station Chairman

Grassroots delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Abiriw No. 1 in Okere Constituency have endorsed Agya Addo ahead of the upcoming Polling Station Chairman elections, citing his loyalty and proven leadership.
In a statement released to the media, party supporters emphasized the need to maintain stability, loyalty, and experienced leadership at the polling station level.
Agya Addo has long been recognized for his commitment to the NPP in Abiriw, consistently working on the ground to mobilize voters, resolve disputes, and strengthen the polling station’s unity. Supporters describe him as a dedicated leader whose service has been quiet but impactful, often going unrecognized by the wider public.
The statement also addressed the candidacy of Kofi Bekoe, who recently lost the parliamentary primaries. Delegates argue that Bekoe’s decision to contest for a lower office immediately after a high-profile defeat appears motivated more by personal ambition than by service to the party. Members called on delegates to reject leadership driven by opportunism.
Supporters stressed that leadership at the polling station level is about consistency and knowing the party base, not simply chasing titles. “Replacing experience with convenience and loyalty with ambition could weaken the very foundation of the NPP in Abiriw,” the statement read, underscoring the risks of disrupting proven leadership.
The grassroots members called on all delegates to vote wisely, emphasizing unity and continuity. They urged delegates to reward loyalty and long-term service by endorsing Agya Addo as chairman, highlighting that strong polling station leadership is crucial for the party’s overall success in elections.
Delegates reminded the public that the NPP’s electoral victories are built from the ground up, with polling stations serving as the backbone of the party. Maintaining Agya Addo as chairman, they argue, ensures that the party base remains strong, organized, and prepared for future elections.
Abiriw NPP supporters reaffirmed their commitment to Agya Addo, citing his stability, loyalty, and experience as essential qualities for leadership. The statement concluded with a strong endorsement: “Agya Addo for Chairman. Stability. Loyalty. Experience.” Delegates are now being called upon to uphold these values in the upcoming elections.
