Street preachers pay permit fees to KMA – Apostle Major Yaw Tieku Frimpong

Apostle Major Yaw Tieku Frimpong has revealed that mobile preachers and evangelists operating in Kumasi pay permit fees to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) before carrying out street preaching activities.
Speaking on Kessben FM with Fante Quoo, the evangelist explained that the payment is part of regulations governing public preaching and the use of loudspeakers in the metropolis.
According to Apostle Frimpong, the arrangement helps maintain order and ensures that evangelists operate within the rules set by city authorities. He noted that many people are unaware that street preaching in certain areas requires official permission from the assembly.
Some have welcomed the move as necessary for maintaining public order, while others believe religious outreach activities should not attract such charges.
The KMA has in recent years intensified efforts to regulate noise levels and public activities within the city as part of broader measures to improve sanitation, orderliness and urban management.
