Vice President calls for fairness and transparency in 2026 BECE

The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has called for strict adherence to fairness and transparency in the conduct of the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
In a statement issued ahead of the nationwide examination, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang urged supervisors, invigilators, and school authorities to uphold the highest standards of integrity to ensure a credible process and outcome.
She emphasized that maintaining fairness in the examination system is essential to preserving public trust and guaranteeing that all candidates are assessed on a level playing field.
The Vice President also extended her best wishes to candidates sitting for the examination, expressing confidence that they will perform well after years of preparation, discipline, and hard work. She encouraged them to approach the exams with confidence, honesty, and determination.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang further commended the Ghana Education Service, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders for their commitment to preparing students for the BECE.
