SHS operations safe despite food concerns – Dr Isaac Tuffour

Dr. Isaac Tuffour, a communicator for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged parents and guardians to remain calm amid concerns over food shortages in Senior High Schools (SHSs) across Ghana.

Speaking on Kessben FM with host Wofa Kofi Appiah, Dr. Tuffour dismissed fears that schools could be shut down due to the situation. He assured the public that authorities are aware of the challenges and are taking steps to address them.

“Parents should keep calm; SHSs are not going to be closed down due to shortage of food,” he stated.

His comments come at a time when reports of food supply difficulties in some schools have sparked anxiety among parents and students. Dr. Tuffour emphasized the need for patience, expressing confidence that the issue will be resolved without disrupting academic activities.

He also called on stakeholders in the education sector to work collaboratively to ensure that students continue to receive the necessary support for their studies.
