Story: Maurice Otoo

Unverified allegations have surfaced claiming that Member of Parliament for Kumawu Constituency, Ernest Yaw Anim, held a meeting on LGBTQ+ canker with Communications Minister Sam George while outside the country.

According to Nana Frimpong Ziega, the Resident Analyst at Kessben Maakye, the claims, which are currently under his investigation, suggest that some discussions took place between the two officials during their time abroad about LGBTQ+ issues.

However, details surrounding the purpose and outcomes of the alleged meeting remain unclear.
In lieu of this, Nana Frimpong Ziega is raising concerns indicating that efforts are underway to establish the facts, particularly regarding conversations that may have occurred between the MP and the minister about LGBTQ+ brouhaha.

Ziega further warned that if the allegations are proven to be true, the matter could have political implications, especially for Ernest Yaw Anim as he prepares for future electoral contests. ” If my investigation proves true to what I am hearing, he , Ernest Yaw Anim, will hear from me”, Ziega noted.

At the time of filing this report, neither Ernest Yaw Anim nor Sam George has publicly responded to the claims.
Observers are calling for a measured approach, urging that due process be followed to verify the allegations before any conclusions are drawn.
The situation continues to develop as investigations into the matter progress.
