Lawyer Owusu Juanah advocates equal Religious development under John Dramani Mahama

Ghanaian legal practitioner Owusu Juanah has called on President John Dramani Mahama to adopt a more balanced approach to national development by supporting the completion of the National Cathedral of Ghana.

Speaking during an interview on Kessben TV with host KOD, Owusu Juanah argued that while investments in Muslim community projects are commendable, equal attention should be given to the National Cathedral initiative.

According to the lawyer, such a move would help “balance the equation” and promote fairness in the distribution of national resources across religious groups. He emphasized that the cathedral project, which has sparked national debate over funding and priority, remains an important symbol for many Christians in the country.

The National Cathedral project has faced delays and scrutiny in recent years, with critics questioning its cost and relevance amid pressing economic challenges. However, supporters maintain that it holds cultural and spiritual significance for Ghana.

Owusu Juanah’s remarks add to ongoing public discourse about the role of government in funding religious infrastructure and the need for inclusivity in national development policies.
