We should end unnecessary witch-hunting and unite as a country and develop the nation – Major Derrick Oduro

Speaking on Kessben FM in an interview with host Wofa Kofi Appiah, Major Oduro, the former defense minister, urged Ghanaians and political leaders to move away from what he described as “unnecessary hunting” and instead focus on national development.
According to him, excessive political attacks and partisan pursuits risk diverting attention from the country’s pressing developmental needs. He stressed that Ghana’s progress depends on unity, cooperation, and a shared commitment to building strong institutions rather than engaging in actions that deepen divisions.
“We should end unnecessary hunting and unite as a country to develop the nation,” he stated during the discussion.
The former Defence Minister emphasized that sustainable growth can only be achieved when leaders and citizens alike prioritize peace, stability, and constructive dialogue. He noted that national cohesion is essential in addressing economic challenges, creating jobs, and improving living standards.
