“We can feel full with food and water, but never with money, so create financial space and check how you give to some people” – Rev. Vincent Kankam (Sofo Kankam)

On the Wednesday episode of the Food for Thought Show on Kessben FM, Reverend Vincent Kankam stressed the nature of money and financial discipline.
He said “You can feel full with food. You can drink water and feel satisfied. But with money, you can never feel full,” Rev. Kankam declared during the broadcast. “That’s why you must learn to create financial space.”
According to Rev. Kankam, money has no natural limits the way hunger and thirst do, and as a result, people often chase it without knowing when or how to stop.
“Food gives your body a signal when it’s enough. But money never tells you that. That’s why millionaires want to become billionaires, and billionaires still want more,” he explained. “If you don’t create a space a boundary in your mind, money will control you instead of you controlling it.” he added.
The concept of “financial space,” as Rev. Kankam described it, involves being intentional with your finances: knowing how much is enough for your needs, setting limits on material desires, prioritizing generosity, and avoiding destructive comparison with others. It’s about developing a healthy relationship with money, one that supports your life’s purpose rather than consumes it.
