Never stop doing good because of ungrateful people – Rev. Vincent Kankam

Reverend Vincent Kankam has reiterated that people should never stop doing good just because the people you help are ungrateful.

Speaking on his show, FOOD FOR THOUGHT, on Monday with clarity and conviction, Rev. Kankam explained that while ungratefulness is unfortunately common, it should never be a reason for people to abandon their good nature.

“Their ingratitude,” he said, “is a reflection of their character, not yours. If you are doing good, it’s because that’s who you are. Don’t let them change that.”

He emphasized the importance of remaining true to one’s values regardless of how others respond. He noted that acts of kindness, though sometimes unappreciated by the recipient, often inspire others and ripple out in ways we may never see. “Goodness is not a transaction; it is a seed. Whether they acknowledge it or not, it will grow somewhere in someone else’s life or even in yours.”

Rev. Kankam’s message comes at a time when many people feel drained by the demands of life and relationships, often questioning whether their efforts are worth it. His reminder that character should not be compromised by the behavior of others served as both spiritual encouragement and moral clarity.
