“Due to gossiping by colleagues, friends, and family members, It’s now very hard to share problems” – Rev. Vincent Kankam

Rev. Vincent Kankam, host of the inspiring Food For Thought show on Kessben FM’s dawn motivational show, has spoken candidly about the damaging effects of gossip in today’s society.
Addressing listeners during his Thursday morning broadcast, Rev. Kankam noted that the widespread culture of gossip has made it increasingly difficult for people to open up about their struggles, even with those closest to them.
“Because of gossip, it’s now very hard for anyone to share a problem, not with colleagues, not even with friends or family,” he said, his voice tinged with concern. “People are afraid that the moment they speak, their issues will become the next topic of discussion in places they never expected.” He said.
Rev. Kankam, known for blending real-life issues with biblical wisdom, used the segment to call for a return to trust, empathy, and discretion in human relationships. He warned that when people feel unsafe to confide in those around them, it breeds isolation, depression, and broken bonds, all of which have ripple effects in communities and homes.”
Urging listeners to reflect on their own behavior, Rev. Kankam encouraged the public to create safe, supportive environments, especially in churches, workplaces, and families, where people can share their burdens without fear of betrayal.
Rev. Kankam added that with a powerful reminder from scripture, urging people to strive for the character of Christ: “Jesus listened, comforted, and restored. Let us do the same. Let’s be a generation that builds trust, not breaks it.”
