NIB Officials To Arrest Rev Ntim Fordjour For Drug Allegations?

On Wednesday, April 9 2025, NIB officials besieged the residence of the Ranking member of the minority caucus in parliament, Reverend Ntim Fordjour.

The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Justin Frimpong Kodua wrote about this new development in a social media post.

“NIB is currently at Ntim Fordjour’s house to arrest him. #SayNoToStateIntimidation”, he announced in the post. Videos circulating online showed NIB officials around the compound of the MP for the Assin South constituency.

It is unclear whether their presence in his residence is due to the allegations he made concerning aircrafts, loaded with illicit cargo which landed in Ghana some days ago.
“There is no evidence of any medical referral or patient on board. Rather, our intelligence suggests that the aircraft was used to smuggle illicit cargo.” The MP for Assin South Constituency stated in a press conference held to address the suspicions.

The National Intelligence Bureau is yet to present a formal statement concerning the matter.
The drug and money laundering allegations have reached the presidency as Prez Mahama has directed all major security offices to work with Rev. Ntim Fordjour to investigate the claims.
