NPP’s National Council of Elders Meets with 2024 Election Review Committee to Address Poor Election Outcome

The National Council of Elders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) met with the 2024 Election Review Committee on February 25, 2024, to discuss the party’s performance in the recently concluded elections. The meeting aimed to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to strengthen the party’s organization and electoral outcomes.
Led by Prof. Christopher Ameyaw-Akumfi, the National Council of Elders presented a comprehensive document outlining key recommendations and proposals. The document addressed various aspects of the party’s performance, including campaign strategies, voter engagement, and internal party dynamics.
Hon. Hackman Owusu-Agyemang, Chairman of the National Council of Elders, emphasized the importance of introspection and self-reflection in improving the party’s performance. “We must acknowledge our weaknesses and develop strategies to address them,” he stated.
The 2024 Election Review Committee, chaired by Rt. Hon. Aaron Mike Ocquaye, former Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, is tasked with conducting a comprehensive review of the party’s performance in the 2024 general elections. The committee’s findings and recommendations will inform the party’s strategy for future elections.
