Bono MPs rally behind NEIP CEO to drive entrepreneurship and job creation

Members of Parliament (MPs) from the Bono Region paid a courtesy call on Mr Eric Adjei, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), and promised to help him succeed.

All 12 MPs in the area, including those from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), congratulated Mr. Adjei, a local native, on his recent appointment.

During the meeting, they talked about how to encourage development in the Bono Region and employment opportunities.

Mr. Adjei reiterated the organization’s dedication to creating an atmosphere that supports job creation for Ghana’s youth, pointing out that unemployment is extremely high in the nation, particularly among young people.

According to him, the initiative is in line with President John Dramani Mahama’s promise to give the country’s youth employment opportunities top priority.

Mr. Adjei disclosed plans to execute a number of modules, such as business development services, startup incubators, and funding opportunities for startups, in order to meet the goal.

“This renewed focus on entrepreneurship and innovation is a direct response to the challenges highlighted by President Mahama”, he said.

He highlighted the significance of creating jobs as part of his vision for a 24-hour economy, especially through aggressive food production and agricultural modernization.

“By creating an enabling environment for young entrepreneurs, NEIP seeks to empower the youth, reduce unemployment, and contribute to the nation’s economic growth”, he added.
