“We are preparing for Africa Champions League, not Ghana League – Senior Kotoko supporter, Wofa Annor

Wofa Annor, a senior supporter of the Porcupine Warriors has emphasized the club’s focus on continental glory over domestic dominance. According to Wofa Annor, Kotoko’s current preparations are centered around the Africa Champions League and not merely the Ghana Premier League.
Wofa Annor speaking on Kessben FM, he outlined the supporters’ expectations for Kotoko under the leadership of current management. While many Ghanaian clubs, including Kotoko, have been concentrating on their domestic performances, Annor made it clear that the focus for Kotoko is set beyond the borders of Ghana.
“We are preparing for the Africa Champions League, not just the Ghana League. Our goal is to compete at the highest level in Africa and bring international recognition to our club,” Annor boldly stated. His words reflect the aspirations of many Kotoko supporters who believe the club’s legacy and potential far exceed domestic competition.
Historically, Asante Kotoko has been one of the giants of African football, with a storied history in the CAF Champions League. The club has been crowned champions of Africa twice, in 1970 and 1983, and has consistently competed in various African competitions. However, despite their storied past, Kotoko has faced challenges in recent years in making a serious impact on the continental stage.
