Attendance of Kotoko homes games has improved in Obuasi – Kotoko supporters Chairman, Alex Manu
According to Alexander Manu, the Ashanti Regional Chairman for Kotoko supporters the attendance at Asante Kotoko’s matches in Obuasi has seen a notable increase.
Alex Manu speaking on Kessben Sports attributed the improved attendance to a combination of factors. The supporters’ chairman believes that recent performances have contributed to the resurgence of interest in the team matchday games at their home grounds.
He stressed that in particular, Kotoko’s on-field performances have captured the hearts of the fans. A string of exciting matches, coupled with competitive play, has created a buzz around the team. This momentum has translated into higher turnout at games compared to the previous season when they played their home games at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Manu remains optimistic about the future of Kotoko’s attendance in Obuasi. He believes that if the team continues to perform well and engage with the community, the upward trend will sustain itself.
Asante Kotoko chose to play their home games at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium after the traditional home grounds, the Baba Yara Sports Stadium was closed down for maintenance in August 2024.
