Man Utd unveil new adidas collection inspired by George Best
Manchester United have released their latest fashion collection, paying homage to club legend George Best.
Threaded with a retro feel, the range draws inspiration from the Red Devils’ 1967/68 European Cup winning season, during which stars like George Best donned a long-sleeved blue jersey. The design, in particular, takes fans back to the famous final, where United claimed a 4-1 victory over Benfica to lift what is now known as the Champions League trophy.
Fast forward 56 years and United are recognising one of their greatest ever players with a stylish, sleek design. The apparel includes a jersey, track pants and track top – all painted with the iconic blue.

The jersey itself includes the 1967/68 City of Manchester coat of arms, taking fans back to an iconic time in the club’s history. It is also adorned with the number seven on the back, of course symbolising the winger’s most famous number, whilst detailing an embroidered signature on the left cuff.
For those in favour of a streetwear look, the matching tracksuit gives fans the chance to embody the celebrated squad, whilst also offering modern, urban attire – synonymous with the growing market of football fashion.
Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, Mason Mount, Ethan Wheatley, along with club legends Bryan Robson and Andy Cole all starred in the release – featuring in 1960 style campaign shots by United fan Gary Oldman.

Best first made his debut for United aged just 17, appearing in a 1963 clash with West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford. He went on to become one of their greatest ever players, helping the club achieve First Divison titles in 1965 and 1967, as well as earning a Ballon d’Or in 1968.
His legacy lives on at Old Trafford – with the ‘Trinity’ statue of Best, Sir Bobby Charlton and Denis Law proudly standing in front of the stadium.
