NPP Will Not Shoot Galamseyers Today Nor Tomorrow: Exposing NDC’s Desperate Propaganda

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has resorted to their usual deceitful tactics, falsely alleging that the NPP government plans to use the military to shoot and kill Ghanaians involved in illegal mining (galamsey). This scare tactic is a desperate attempt to manipulate rural voters and score cheap political points as the elections approach.

At a rally in the Mpohor constituency, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the NPP’s Vice Presidential candidate, decisively refuted these claims. He emphasized that the current NPP administration has no intention of employing violent measures against illegal miners now or in the future. Instead, the government is focused on addressing the galamsey issue through lawful means and creating alternative livelihoods for those involved in this illegal activity.

Dr. Prempeh criticized the NDC for their hypocrisy, pointing out that during their tenure, galamsey operations flourished unchecked, leading to significant environmental damage. Their current propaganda serves only to distract from their own failures and undermine the NPP’s genuine efforts to tackle the issue.

The NPP remains committed to peace and development, striving to resolve the galamsey crisis through responsible and non-violent methods. Ghanaians are urged to see through the NDC’s lies and recognize the NPP’s dedication to upholding the rule of law and ensuring a secure environment for all.

As the December 7 elections approach, it is imperative for voters to reject the NDC’s fear-mongering tactics and support a government that leads with integrity and a clear vision for the future. The NPP’s approach is one of progress and transparency, standing in stark contrast to the NDC’s divisive and misleading propaganda.
