Ensuring Peaceful Elections: Task Force Vows Zero Tolerance for Violence

The Election Security Task Force has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and order during the upcoming December elections. In a meeting with the Electoral Commission of Ghana, the task force pledged to ensure a secure environment for citizens to exercise their democratic rights.

Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akufo Dampare, addressed the media, emphasizing the task force’s unwavering dedication to preventing electoral violence. “We will stop at nothing to ensure peace and stability before, during, and after the elections,” he stated.

Dr. Dampare issued a stern warning to potential troublemakers, “We will leave no stone unturned in finding perpetrators who refuse to abide by the law and make them face the full force of the law.”

The Inspector General urged Ghanaians to respect the law and actively participate in the upcoming voter exhibition exercise. “I implore all Ghanaians to take a keen interest in the voter exhibition exercise, a fundamental right of every citizen above 18 years,” he emphasized.
